Just a quick plug: Jack Gilbert and I are guest-editing a special issue in Microbiome dedicated to Microbiology of the Built Environment. We are now accepting original research, methods, and software article submissions to be considered for the special issue (planned for publication in late 2015). We are looking specifically for work that involves multiple aspects of the microbiology of the built environment, including bacterial/fungal/viral diversity, microbial ecology and biochemistry, human-microbiome-buildings interactions, health implications, and building science and operation that affect the indoor microbiome. We will also consider review articles that integrate across these topics and others.
Jack and I encourage everyone from the microBEnet community to consider submitting an article based on your recent work!
Head over to Microbiome to learn more about the special issue. If you would like to enquire about the suitability of a manuscript for consideration, you can e-mail a pre-submission inquiry to email@example.com or simply get in touch with either of us directly.
The deadline for submission in September 1, 2015.
